Boogie Nights
Went out with my girlfriend last night to watch one of her co-workers play in an Old School rock cover band. They were pretty good for a cover band. Ain't No Sunshine being the highlight song of the evening in a mix of Boogie Nights, Celebration, Shania Twain and various other hits from yesteryears. I had fun people watching in a somewhat older crowd. From old guys who really can't and shouldn't be dancing to the one older guy who was one of the best dancer's I've ever seen. Him and the hotty, fake-boobed 30 something chick he was dancing with danced really well together and were fascinating to watch. This guy had more moves than John Travolta! The mentally disabled or handi-capped group were there on a field trip outing under supervision. A few of them even on the dance floor. At first glance a man in a hockey helmet on the dance floor is strange. But after a few minutes observation I realized, although disabled, he had more rythym than most of the old guys out there. Good for him!

A tidbit from an actual conversation last night:

"I just had the strangest phone conversation. My friend who is a buff guy has just revealed that he wants to be a woman!" My girlfriend's co-worker said.

"Oh my God are you serious?!" My girlfriend exclaimed.

"Yeah I guess he's going to get the change over or something."

"Oh that is just too weird!"

"Well there was that time period when he had those bi-sexual tendencies." He continued.

"ewwww!"

"And that one Halloween party where he dressed as a woman and made a really pretty chick."

"Dan, how do they do that? I mean... what do they do with their personal parts?" My girlfriend sincerely asked.

"I don't know... snip snip maybe."

"No wonder I'm single! There are no men! They are all either gay or want to be a woman!" My girlfriend said horrified.

The make the "outtie" an "innie" - that's how the operation goes, right? LOL

Sounds like a cool place to go and see a band. I'm one of those old guys that, fortunately, realizes that no matter how much I have to drink I can't dance. :)
