New Year's Resolutions...
Here it is the 19th of January already... let's review my New Year's Resolutions and how I'm doing with them.
1) To save money and be more financially responsible.
2) To be more social and open to meeting new people.
3) To write, write, write, and finish my novel.
4) To finish unpacking those last 5 boxes full of elephants, candles, and various other knick knacks.
5) To maintain my weight loss of the previous year.
So... those were my New Year's Resolutions for 2005. I'm off to somewhat of a rocky start. #1: Still recouping from Christmas spending, re-doing my IRA application because I made mistakes on the first application and Fidelity sent it back to me, and started off the new year by spending 200 bucks on Harry Connick Jr. concert tickets for me and two friends. #2: Although I'm not sure what the future holds... I at least have been open to meeting new people, having fun and have begun to have a social life albeit a very small one. #3: I have been working on my novel... at times it flows and at other times it is slow-going, however, it is a story worth telling and hopefully worth reading. #4: Well the unpacking is going at the same pace it has been for a long time, almost non-existent. I did however hang 3 shelves, but my elephants still need to find their homes. #5: Having lost 50 pounds over the course of a year... I have been successful to date at maintaining that weight loss. I even lost two more pounds over the weekend!
