Spring forward insomnia
It’s been five days since time sprung forward an hour and I still haven’t gotten used to it. I had trouble sleeping before the time changed but now that the clocks are set an hour forward from what they were a week ago I’m up even later. My body’s clock is still on Standard time and hasn’t switched to Daylight Savings time yet. For me what used to be 1am and still awake, is now 2am and still awake and I find myself watching really bad late night TV and cursing the man who ever thought up Daylight Savings time in the first place.
This stupid time change tradition had to be a man’s idea. I thought. And yet nothing brings me any closer to sleep. My insomnia problem just kicked into high gear. Getting up in the mornings is even harder these days.
The only good thing about the time change besides the flowers being in bloom, is that its still light when I get off work, which means I can go walking, and get some exercise.
Anyone else having trouble getting used to the time change?
Me! Me! Me! Me!!!
It's good that there's more sunshine! hehe :-)
I don't know about that biological clock crap. I don't have it.
I slept 2.5 hours of sleep last night, why? Well, I was watching TV and minggling to friends early in the morning 'til 4 A.M. Then I realized I had to work in a few hours. I went to bed then and woke up 6:30 pm. Now, i'm still up and going, not to mention the show tonight.
Take care Matildakay.
I'm right there with you. I stayed up until after midnight last night, then popped awake before 7 a.m. My husband is starting to comment on the dark circles under my eyes.
No, but, can I go walking with you?
I haven't even changed my clocks yet
so far, i've been late everyday to work since the time change...
Have you gotten sleep yet?
Christ, I never sleep.
