Anyone who works in the corporate world can relate to the movie Office Space. We love it and we hate it because it is too close to our daytime reality. Sometimes it even makes our skin crawl. And yet we laugh anyway and secretly plot against our corporate overlords in pure Office Space rebelliousness.

I was wrong. It turns out they exist in real life! My company has hired Management Consultants to come in and analyze the business.

I’m stuck in Office Space HELL! I wonder what would happen if I dug out my Michael Bolton CD and blasted When a man loves a woman in the office tomorrow. (Doesn’t every 30 something woman have a Michael Bolton CD somewhere in their CD collection?) Would the Management Consultants even get the joke? Would my co-workers?

After two full days with my boss, the Management Consultant was pulling his hair out and rolling his eyes.

“I empathize with you.” He said pulling me aside.
