Cute Fluffy Bunnies – Hectic Films Style
Once upon a time… this Bakersfield girl went to BIFF 2.0 to watch Independent film shorts and features by local filmmakers. Hectic Films showed several of their films including their winning Cinema of the Lords short. I love Hectic Films! Those guys are so talented and so funny! But after sitting through slasher movie after serial killer movie after psycho interrogation movie after gore movie galore. I began to wonder if something might be wrong with those Hectic Film boys. I mean they can’t even eat pizza without holding up the pizza joint and killing off a few people.

“What’s up with all the blood and gore in your films?” I asked Ricky Bird during one of the intermissions at BIFF 2.0.

“It’s fun!”

“Skip makes me cringe.”

“Cool!” He grinned.

“I’d love to see you guys do something with cute fluffy bunnies for a change.”

“Cute fluffy bunnies?” Ricky looked at me as if I was crazy.

Soon after BIFF 2.0 I began a campaign for cute fluffy bunnies on Hectic Films myspace page never dreaming that it would get me anywhere.

And then today… Hectic Films posted this video with the message “Just for you!” on my myspace page.

I must say, I am thrilled to have inspired/cajoled Hectic Films into creating a short film!

So, without any further adieu…

I give you: “Cute Fluffy Bunnies” - Hectic Films style.

You can blame me for at least two of their films. I asked them to create a gore fest, and they spewed forth, SKIP. I then offered a cash prize through Noveltown and they churned out Lords... and coming up next, Hectic Films just asked me for a script for one of their shorts!

Sorry, Matildakay. :)

NL, Hectic Films can keep making all the gore they want. They're good at it! They gave me Cute Fluffy Bunnies and I'm blissfully happy! :D

I think I might need a cute fluffy bunny to add to my Punk Shui Couch Friends to commemorate the film!
