The Filthies in Big Wheel!
Bakersfield’s own Filthies are in the January 2007 issue of Big Wheel Magazine!
The Filthies new album “Your Turn” is coming out February 13, 2007 and they’ve been featured in Big Wheel Magazine.
Kenny Mount of the Filthies brought the magazine to Dirty Spanglish’s show at Studio 99 and proudly showed off the review of their new album.
In the darkened Studio 99 I looked at the back cover displaying the Filthies album and Kenny pointed out the review of their album inside.
“I can’t read it without my glasses.” I admitted to Kenny.
He laughed at me and gave me a copy of the magazine…

Can you say album of the fucking year? This shit has been playing ridiculously loud, non-stop in my lonely office for three hours now. It’s super catchy, fun time punk rock. Think Face to Face, or Ramones. I’m suddenly thankful I work alone because that means I can dance openly to this without someone laughing. Man, I am so buying every one of these dudes a drink at the next show and making permanent friends with them. You hear that Filthies? You’re gonna be my friends. Even you, creepy lead singer guy who works at a mortuary—be my fucking friend. And let me tell you just how clear and good this sounds too. Kudos to the guy who mixed it. Best part is when they cover “Anything.” (Sung to the tune of “Anything”) Well I’ll give you money, give you drinks, give you beer – I’ll give you anything you want, for music in my ear.
